NOTICE OF AGM & AWARDS BANQUET
This release serves as the official notice for the Badminton Ontario 2017 Members Congress and AGM, to be held in Toronto, ON from Saturday, June 10th to Sunday, June 11th, 2017. The Annual Awards Banquet will be held in Toronto, ON on the evening of Saturday, June 10th, 2017.

- Saturday June 10th, 2017: Badminton Ontario Office Building (Boardroom 3 & 4)

- Saturday June 10th, 2017.: Toronto Don Valley Hotel (York Banquet Room)

Annual District Member Congress continues and Formal AGM

Badminton Ontario Board of Directors Nominations:
Nominations will be accepted for the following positions available on the Badminton Ontario Board of Directors:
Finance and Administration Director
Director of High Performance
Director at Large
Please fill out the attached BON Board Nomination Form and forward to Austin White, Chair of the BON Nominations Committee (firstname.lastname@example.org). The deadline for nominations is Monday, May 29th, 2017.
District Member Association Voting:
As per Badminton Ontario’s bylaws, one representative from each District Member Association will hold the voting rights for the Association. The number of votes each Association is entitled to is as follows:
i. 0-100 Registered Individual Members – One (1) Vote;
ii. 101 – 300 Registered Individual Members – Two (2) Votes;
iii. 301 – 500 Registered Individual Members – Three (3) Votes;
iv. 501 – 700 Registered Individual Members – Four (4) Votes;
v. 701 – 1000 Registered Individual Members – Five (5) Votes;
vi. 1001 or more Registered Individual Members – Six (6) Votes.
If the representative attending the AGM is not the President of the District Member Association, a proxy form signed by the District President must be sent to Jean Wong at the Badminton Ontario office via email (email@example.com) by no later than May 29, 2017 indicating who the representative will be.
District Member Associations are requested to provide Badminton Ontario with a summary annual report for the AGM package by May 29th, 2017. Please see the attached District report template. It is also expected that District Member Associations include a financial statement for the 2015/16 fiscal year within their reports.
A reminder that each District Member Association will be permitted to send one delegate to the AGM & Awards Banquet with travel and accommodations expenses covered by Badminton Ontario. Any additional delegates may be sent with all expenses incurred by the District Member Association. Additional guest tickets to the Awards Banquet may be purchased for $50/each in advance; $65 each after May 23rd, 2016. If accommodations are required, please provide guest name and contact information to Luis Paredes (firstname.lastname@example.org) by no later than May 23rd, 2017.
