Membership required: Performance (A) Card
Districts will be able to nominate players for each discipline and age group at the district’s discretion. Generally, two appeals will be permitted: however, the tournament committee will reserve the right to permit additional players.
A player qualifies for the Ontario Jr. A championships if they have accumulated 4000 (2018-19 Season) points or more in any one discipline from the Badminton Ontario Jr HP A series or National Jr Elite series. Points are in accordance to the OJRS published at the conclusion of the Ontario Jr. High Performance circuit and provided that their total points are greater than 4000 (2018-19 Season) in at least one event (singles, doubles, or mixed doubles).
All athletes must be a Canadian Citizen. Non-Canadian citizen, must have landed immigrant status (PR card) and must have resided in ONTARIO for 12 months prior to the date of the tournament. An athlete is not eligible if such athlete has played in a closed championship in any other province or in any other country in the playing year in which the tournament is held.
Any player who qualifies in one discipline may enter in all disciplines of the same age group. Any player that qualifies or plays in the Ontario Jr. A Championship cannot play in the Ontario Jr. B Championships in any age group
Each Badminton Ontario district can nominate one girl’s singles and one boy’s singles player, one girls’ and one boy’s doubles team and one mixed doubles team in each age group who otherwise did not qualify by points
The tournament committee has the right to allow any Provincial Junior Player to compete on the basis of an accepted written appeal, received after the final High Performance junior circuit event
The tournament director reserves the right to limit entries to all tournaments
